Yogalife Wellness Retreats in Spain

FAQ

I’ve never done yoga before or it’s been a while.

The teacher will offer variations for both beginners and advanced students. We will make sure that you will get the attention and support you need. We cater to all levels of experience and ability. Go at your own pace, but if you are not very experienced, within one week you will see that your practice will progress enormously. If you are experienced, there is always something that you can learn from our teachers.

What Can I do to prepare?

Some basic preparation before you come will make a big difference to the quality of your experience. We highly recommend that you make an effort to cut down on alcohol Caffeine, Sugar, smoking, red meat and dairy. You do not need to do loads of yoga before you arrive to prepare for the yoga course. You just need to have basic fitness and a beginners mind. There is always something new to take on board.

What to bring:

You will be surprised how little you actually need. Bring a beach towel, sarong, and bikini, and yoga wear you feel comfortable in. The day and night temperatures can differ quite a lot so pack some warm clothes too (also in case there's a rainy day - not often, but it can happen). Don't bring too much because you can have your laundry done and you may want to save some space for shopped items. In case you want to go out at night, glad rags never run amiss. You may live in your flip-flops for your stay. Sunscreen, a hat and shades will prove most useful if not essential.

Client Profile

We welcome all nationalities, ages , genders and creeds. A physical impairment does not necessarily exclude you from participating in yoga classes. Contact us to discuss options. The balance of women vs men, singles vs couple will vary from retreat to retreat, but generally there are more women than men and more singles than couples. The age can range between 25 to 60 though there are no limits.

Do people come on their own?

If there is a room sharing opportunity we can match you with a person who is also travelling alone and price accordingly. Yoga retreats attract healthy, friendly people so it’s likely to be a rewarding experience. The communal atmosphere and warm weather means that you will be spending most of your time outdoors. If we cannot find someone to share your room you will receive it for the sharing price even though you are on your own

The Practice
The classes take place twice a day, in clear, precise English. The emphasis is Dynamic, which aims at teaching awareness and relaxation using traditional Hatha yoga postures. Suitable for all levels of experience, beginners can start where they are at and experienced yogis will be able to connect more deeply balancing
between movement and inner stillness.

Yoga Mat:

We do provide yoga mats but please do bring yours along. It is better having your own because its more hygienic and you can use it for self-practice.

Sweat it out:

We recommend you come equipped with your own sweat towel and water bottle for the sessions .
